In this day and age, advertising has unknowingly become an essential part of our life, as sale flyers, commercials, billboards, etc. are always(与前面的in this day and age矛盾) seen everywhere. Some people, according to this phenomenon,(中式翻译) argue that the popularity of many products tends to be the implication of advertising rather than of the genuine demands of customers.

 

There is no doubt that advertising does play a significant role in booming the the booming market. As a convenient and effective intermedium means (intermedium容易被误会为中等的,中型的等含义,有时想要说的汉语意思找不到合适的词就换一个汉语的近义词好了,千万不要试图通过汉英字典把汉语词生硬地译成英语) to publicize merchandise news, advertising is always able to expand the notability of corresponding products in high efficiency(与前面的effective 有点意义上的重复). Learning of the powerful function and good quality of a product, which are usually exaggerated by its adverts, customers are more likely to make purchases that might not be made without advertising.

 

However, this does not indicate that social needs are less influential. Advertisements encourage people to buy, while the real demands determine what people want to buy. Our purchasing intentions are promoted by well-designed adverts advertisements (advert是英式的口语词,写作慎用) only when the goods they advertise are necessary or attractive for to us. Just like cosmetics do not appeal to most males, the majority of social members will never purchase or even notice things that have nothing to do with their needs, regardless of the fantastic advertisements that companies made. Furthermore, since not every individual has enough disposable income, there are still many people who can only afford their basic living standards, thereby rendering(分词的逻辑主语必须为主句的主语,而这句话的主语是there are still many people中的many people,显然不对,不如断开句子,变成:. Therefore, it renders/makes advertising dispensable for them. 

 

In conclusion, I do not agree with the view that sale volumes of prevalent goods are exclusively attributed to the advertising effectiveness. It is social demands that motivate people to seek for the goods they want, and it is advertising that helps to match these needs with particular commodities. In order to explain why some

consumer goods are so popular, neither of them should be neglected in terms of their effects.
