考试时间长度为2个半小时，试卷满分为100分。试卷内容包括主观题和客观题两类，其中客观题占总分的75%（答题时间为1.5小时），主观题占25%（答题时间为1小时）。考试采用笔试方式。考试试卷共分六部分：
第一部分口语交际
本部分由A、B两节组成，共10道题，具体内容如下：
1．Section A是完成对话（Dialogue Completion）这个部分共5道题，每题为一小段在speaker A 和speaker B之间进行的不完整对话，题目中给出了speaker A 的说话内容，要求考生根据speaker A 的话语的内容，从所给的四个被选项中选出能作为答案的最合适的选项。该种题型或者考察考生语用意识，也就是要求考生确定对话所发生的特定场合下的语言特点；或者考察考生对一定量的常见英语口语结构的掌握情况。

出题特点：情境题：有人给Beach 汽车旅馆打进电话
解题思路：反复对比较被选项，使用排除法。（B和D相关，都涉及到对话主题词， 可能成为答案）
对话原则（关联原则）：B中的a double room 与Beach Motel主题相关； 而且用Yes回答问题May I help you?(我能为你做些什么？)， 符合对话模式（有问有答）， 也因此符合对话中的配合原则。 因此B是答案。

2．B节为对话理解（Dialogue Comprehension），这种提醒的出题形式与原来听力部分的考题类似，这部分考题其实主要是对对英语口语中的习惯用法以及一些固定的句型结构进行考察。如：
Man: Mark takes advantage of every opportunity to get close to the CEO.
Woman: Everyone knows he wants to fly high.
Question: What does the woman imply?
A． Mark wants to travel by air. B. Mark likes the CEO very much.
